Involved in the development of and review of four strategic plans for World Rugby
Reviewed the Strategic Plans and organisation structures for Samoa and Fiji Rugby Unions
Facilitated the development of strategic plans for the:

  • International Wheelchair Rugby Federation (including a review and update of the plan and assisting in development of operational plans)
  • International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation
  • International Wheelchair Fencing Federation
  • International Netball Federation
  • Volleyball Ireland

Other Sport Development Work Completed

Asian Football Confederation on behalf of WAoS – Designed and led an assessed programme covering six modules delivered in 3 x 3-day courses over nine months and included; Inputs on The Organisation of World Football, Strategic Management in Football, Revenue Generation, Media and Communications, Event Management and Volunteer Management, Football Operations.


University College Dublin – 2011/12 to 2015/16 Developing Strategic and Operational Plans for Rugby Organisations – 2 Day lecture and activities plus a Case Study – Assessed Presentations – Marked Papers. 2017 – How International Federations Grow their Sport.


WAoS Post Graduate Certificate (PGC) -accredited by Royal Holloway London University – 2011 to 2014, 5 Intakes – Prepared and delivered lectures on Leadership in Sport, Sport Governance, Managing a turnaround situation – Case Study. Programme led 2015/16 PGC.
WAoS Sports Federation Management Programme (SFMP) – Designed and delivered a 3-day SFMP for World Rugby and United World Wrestling equipping participants to manage national federations effectively – covering strategic management, financial management, governance, leadership, revenue generation and HR.

  • Vancouver 2010 – Facilitated the Accessibility Summit
  • London 2012, Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 – Facilitator on the IPC Observer Programme
  • London 2012 – Facilitated the first Inclusion Summit where speakers included Lord (Seb) Coe, William Hague (The Foreign Secretary) and Judith Heumann (US State Department – Disability Advisor)
  • Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 facilitated three-day Games Experience Programme
